Polygon, Sandeep launch Web3 fund Symbolic Capital with $50m

While Polygon continues its democratization in the world, Sandeep Nailwal, its founder, takes care of the Web3 democratization with a small collection of 50 million $ for his fund Symbolic Capital.

Polygon, its founder raises $50m and launches Symbolic Capital

Symbolic Capital is the name of the Web3 VC fund that Sandeep Naiwal, founder of Polygon, Kenzi Wang, co-founder of Cere and other personalities will launch.

This fund, which currently has a small capital of over $50 million, will rely on a unique platform to encourage investment.

With the tools we’ve built, we’ll be able to drill down and analyze data such as GitHub contributions, social media traction, Discord engagement to help guide our investments, as well as track things like job migration trends and employment histories to identify and recruit the best employees for the companies in our portfolio.

The goal of the end is simple: to help Web3 startups who are embarking on the adventure to help the adoption of the revolution that it represents! This help will be done through financing, networking and mentoring.

My life’s mission is to bring Web3 to the masses, this will only be possible if we have pioneering Web3 applications and Symbolic Capital was created to help these developers realize their visions. Symbolic will provide a unique level of support to our portfolio companies.

When you know how important the network is in blockchain (no pun intended), being able to count on the Polygon and Cere team’s network is a huge advantage!

Moreover, Sandeep and Kenzi know it well, since they met at Binance Labs which helped Polygon and Cere to accelerate! Since then, the two galliards have funded more than 40 crypto companies.

We focus specifically on supporting founders in emerging markets who have often been ignored by traditional funds. In launching Polygon in India, we struggled to be connected with venture capital firms that believed in our vision and capabilities. Our mission with Symbolic is to empower the next generation of emerging founders who have historically been overlooked by these firms.

If so far the projects that have received grants from Symbolic Capital are BlinkMoon, Planet Mojo and Community Gaming, the list should quickly grow! Will Polygon continue to be democratized after Ethereum’s Merge? Wait and see!
